Description
Antique embroidered clock runner for the friesian tail and stoel clock. Depicting Adam and Eve underneath the apple tree with a snake. Adam and Eve are fully clothed in this rendition. Runners Were used to cover the top of the antique Friesian tail clocks, that back in the day was made of burlap. Burlap didn’t keep the dust out of the clockwork. The habit continued and still today, even when the roofs from the clocks are solid, runners are covering the rooftops. In excellent condition. It is approx. 33 7/8″ or 96 cm long and 7 1/4″ or 18,5 cm wide. The runner has some small stains but is in good condition. The runner is not lined. Used item signs of use and age.
We sell used parts, taken from used clocks. New parts and new old stock parts. They are bound to have signs of use, may be in need of cleaning. They might look slightly different then pictured due to production process differences. The colours could be slightly different. Collaborating pictures are shown for reference and are never, unless clearly specified, part of the sale.
