Description
Antique English grandfather clock dial. In as found condition. This is the first English long case clock I seen with a small chain attached to a mechanism on the dial to set the moon date. Heavy brass plate with pewter spandrels and dial. Little pointer on top to indicate the date. It is an indication of the moon calendar which is shorter then the month calendar. The dial is in good condition given its age, I think in the center around the dial there used to be an ornament too see some holes there. The dial is approx. 17 3/4″ or 45 cm tall and 11 15/16 ” or 32,7 cm wide. The pin distances are in the picture measured from the center to the center. Used item signs of use.
We sell used parts, taken from used clocks. New parts and new old stock parts. They are bound to have signs of use, may be in need of cleaning. They might look slightly different then pictured due to production process differences. The colors could be slightly different.
