Description
Antique wooden carved angel statue for the large friesian tail clocks. This is the left side angel, standing in front of the clock. The condition is good given the age. It has minor flaws the left arm is glued back in the wrong position, the horn doesn’t reach the mouth. The right leg was glued back to it. Horn is later date replacement. And last but not least one wing is fixed with a brass pin to the back. I suggest gluing he wings to the back and head so it is a sturdy construction. The arms on the angel statues are original glued to the torso as it was a lot of work to cut it out of the wood in one piece. Therefore the break you see is original. Statue stands approx. 9 1/4″ or 24 cm from wingtip to pin that goes in the case.
