Description
One of a kind early 1800s burled walnut portre montre shaped like a Dutch grandfather clock. With claw feet and a brass front. In the centre hangs the pocket watch. Not sure if this was the original watch it was made for but I bought it in this combination. The clock runs great. It is marked Exact and 0800 and number 32152 an 8 and a crown mark. On the case of the watch it says “cylindre 10 rubis”. The inside of the watch back lid is lose from the edge. I don’t know how to fix that, I am not a watch person. But it closes just fine. The seller claimed it is a gold case on the watch. It is a very nice hard to find item in this condition. It stands approx 16 1/2″ or 47 cm tall and 7″ or 18 cm wide and 4″ or 10 cm deep. Used item signs of use.
